How to Delete Your Account

In the Locanter App

Go to SettingsDelete Account and follow the confirmation prompts.

Send a request to help@locanter.com from the email address associated with your account.

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your Locanter account, the following data is permanently removed from our systems:

Account profile (name, email, preferences) Permanently deleted Within 30 days
Interaction & behavioural data Permanently deleted Within 30 days
Location data Permanently deleted Within 30 days
Push notification token Deleted Immediately
Reviews you authored Anonymised Within 30 days
Organizer profile (if applicable) Permanently deleted Within 30 days

What Is Retained & Why

Transaction & purchase records may be retained for up to 7 years as required by Irish tax law (Taxes Consolidation Act 1997). Payment processing records are independently maintained by our payment provider, Stripe.

If you are an event organizer, any events you created will be unpublished. You may be contacted about open bookings before deletion completes.

Partial Data Deletion (GDPR)

You don't have to delete your entire account. Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to request erasure of specific categories of your personal data while keeping your account active.

For example, you can request deletion of your interaction data, location history, or device identifiers without closing your account.

To make a partial deletion request, email help@locanter.com citing your right to erasure under Article 17 of the GDPR.
